Job description

Job Summary/Company: Our client, a leading Defense contractor, is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with a mechanical (NOT software) background. Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big-picture thinking to make an impact on national security? You understand your customer’s environment and how to develop the right systems for their mission. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused engineering solution. Due to the nature of this work, only US Citizens can be considered. Fully onsite in Huntsville, relocation assistance may be available.
Responsibilities:
  • As a Systems Engineer on our team, you have the chance to lead the technical development and integration of Department of Defense systems.
  • You’ll create, integrate, and apply interdisciplinary digital models of systems from concept throughout the product lifecycle.
  • You’ll apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge and develop or contribute to solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity in support of hypersonic testing.
  • You will work independently with some guidance and review or guide the activities of junior employees.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • 5+ years of experience with systems design, integration, and testing activities
  • Experience conducting system-level trade studies to identify and balance conflicting requirements
  • Experience delivering complex aerospace hardware from concept to test
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
