Advanced IC Design Engineer
This is a design engineering position that is available on the Corporate R&D team. The individual will be responsible for developing unique and novel circuit designs to support MACOM's RF and microwave product lines. Examples include novel bias circuits, high-power broadband switch and amplifier designs, broadband low-noise designs, high-frequency designs through 110 GHz, advanced diode circuits like non-linear transmission lines, and various other unique and novel circuits in GaN, GaAs, AlGaAs, SiGe, InP, and other technologies.
The individual will lead projects to introduce, champion, and benchmark AI tools in the design engineering workflow. This will include ML models as well as generative AI models and agents. They will also provide support to active design projects through expert analysis, troubleshooting, and EM simulation assistance. Training and career growth opportunities will be provided.
Qualifications / Skills:
• BS, MS, or PhD in Electronic Engineering, or equivalent
• 10+ years relevant experience
• Extensive design experience in multiple RF/microwave semiconductor technologies such as GaN, GaAs, and SiGe
• Extensive EM simulation experience, including both 2.5D MoM and 3D FEM
• MMIC design expertise in Keysight ADS and/or Cadence AWR
• Experience with use of ML and/or generative AI in design engineering, including model training and usage
• Due to ITAR regulations, only candidates who are U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, or individuals granted asylum or refugee status) will be considered for this position.
The Salary Range for this position is $120,000 - $170,000. Actual salary offered to candidates will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates' experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
