Seeking QAR / Mechanical and Piping Systems Inspectors for a long-term semiconductor project in Taylor, TX. The primary need is for professionals who can walk installed systems, spot damage or workmanship concerns, and document findings accurately. Pipefitters, plumbers, mechanical engineers, welders, weld inspectors, machinists, QA/QC inspectors, and mechanical technicians are strongly encouraged to apply.

What You Will Do

· Walk installed mechanical, piping, process-gas, process-chemical, and utility systems throughout a large semiconductor construction environment.

· Monitor installed work for damage, installation concerns, routing conflicts, missing or incorrect labels, hanger or support issues, and overall workmanship.

· Pay close attention to detail, identify damaged areas, and accurately communicate and document findings.

· Perform quality walkdowns and compare installed systems with drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

· Inspect orbital automatic GTAW welds when assigned; document accepted and rejected welds and communicate required corrections to welders and project teams.

· Observe contractors to help ensure applicable ultra-high-purity procedures and quality standards are followed.

What We Are Looking For

· Hands-on experience as a pipefitter, plumber, mechanical engineer, welder, weld inspector, machinist, mechanical technician, quality inspector, or in a closely related trade.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to recognize damage, defects, workmanship concerns, or installation issues during system walkdowns.

· Experience reading drawings, specifications, measurements, or inspection criteria is strongly preferred.

· Semiconductor, construction, fabrication, piping, UHP, orbital welding, QA/QC, pressure-testing, instrumentation, controls, or preventive-maintenance experience is helpful.

· High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant technical education or mechanical engineering training is valued.

· OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 course/card required.

· Dependable, punctual, self-motivated, safety-focused, and able to communicate professionally.

· Veterans are encouraged to apply.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

· Able to walk several miles over the course of a shift and remain on your feet for most of the workday.

· Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds daily.

· Able to climb ladders, wear fall-protection equipment, and work safely at elevated heights.

· Able to work in active construction areas, sub-fab spaces, and cleanroom environments while wearing required PPE and cleanroom garments.

· Comfortable maintaining strong surroundings awareness around gas, chemical, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Schedule, Pay & Assignment Details

· Schedule: 7 days per week, 12-hour shifts (up to 84 hours weekly); schedule is subject to project needs and change.

· Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on the position and candidate experience.

· Overtime: 1.5 times the regular hourly rate; double time at 2.0 times the hourly rate where applicable.

· Assignment: Long-term project currently expected to last approximately two years, subject to change, with temp-to-permanent potential.

· Location: On-site in Taylor, Texas. No travel or relocation assistance is provided; candidates should live within approximately 50 miles of the facility and have reliable transportation.
