Team structures vary, with some coaches working individually with athletes, while others are part of larger coaching staffs supporting a team or training camp. The role typically involves planning individualized training sessions, monitoring progress, and coordinating with medical or nutrition professionals. This diverse collaboration helps ensure each athlete receives comprehensive development and support.

Strong motivational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to provide constructive feedback are important soft skills in this role. These abilities are essential for safely training athletes, maximizing performance, and fostering a winning team environment.
