Job description

Responsibilities
  • Building scalable software applications across all digital channels to serve customers.
  • Taking an enterprise-wide, architectural view of the solutions and the technical execution of products.
  • Responsible for designing and creating engineering specifications for software applications and programs.
  • Responsible for designing & writing code that adheres to coding standards.
  • Performs code reviews.
  • Idea generation and exploring appropriate technical solutions to achieve product features.
  • Monitor technical process against project plan while safeguarding functionality, scalability and performance.
  • Participate in all scrum ceremonies, assisting in sprint planning and completing required sprints.
  • Communicate any issues/blockers to the Scrum Master.
  • Drive story creation (i.e. DoD, Acceptance Criteria, estimation).
  • Monitor work against production schedule and provide progress updates.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field
  • 5 years proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns in the building and deploying of scalable; highly available systems
  • 5 years in at least one modern programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, Informatica preferred)
  • 5 years understanding of web services technologies such as REST, HTTPS, JSON
  • 5 years with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, Python (Django/Flask), C/C++, C#, Objective C, JavaScript, or Go
  • 5 years in defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility trade-offs for optimizing short term execution while planning for long term technical capabilities
  • 5 years translating design mockups, prototypes and user stories into working applications
  • 5 years of ability to produce code that is fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable
  • 1 year of working with Machine Learning esp. in Natural Language Understanding, Machine Translation, Deep Neural Networks and related fields
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain robust applications using React for the frontend and Python with PostgreSQL/BigQuery for the backend
  • Strong proficiency in asynchronous processing and messaging: Hands-on experience with Celery and GCP Pub/Sub for building scalable and reliable distributed systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of CI/CD and deployment strategies: Experience with GitLab CI/CD for automating deployments across on-premise, OpenShift, and GCP cloud environments
