MLB CARE HEALTH SERVICES, INC. is seeking a DSP to provide compassionate, person-centered support that helps individuals live more independently and safely.
Position SummaryThe DSP (Direct Support Professional) is responsible for delivering high-quality day-to-day care and support to individuals in accordance with their service plans and established health and safety procedures. This role requires empathy, reliability, and the ability to promote independence while maintaining a respectful and supportive environment.
As a full-time onsite team member in Middletown, VA, you will partner with individuals, families, and care teams to help ensure consistent support, clear communication, and positive outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct support with daily living activities in a manner that respects individual preferences, dignity, and choice.
Assist with implementing individualized service plans and documenting care activities accurately and timely.
Support safe routines, medication and care prompts (as applicable), and follow established safety and compliance procedures.
Communicate effectively with team members and relevant stakeholders to maintain continuity of care.
Foster a positive, supportive atmosphere that encourages independence, community engagement, and skill development.
Ability to provide dependable, respectful care and follow written care/support instructions.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, confidentiality, and professional conduct.
