We currently operate 1,300+ brick and mortar locations, including specialty concept stores for the NBA, NHL, Paris Saint-Germain, and the two largest MLB franchises, via our Yankees & Dodgers Clubhouse stores. General Position Summary
The Customization Illustrator creates and prepares final artwork for a variety of uses, including but not limited to customization, point-of-sale, marketing collateral, packaging, and electronic media. This role illustrates and designs graphics to support business needs while ensuring compliance with Lids Sports Group policies, procedures, and brand guidelines.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Illustration & Creative Production
• Create and prepare illustrated graphics for customization needs used in stores and on the web.
• Illustrate and develop graphics for electronic media, including but not limited to web, display, email, and social media.
• Illustrate, develop, and implement all facets of creative production within projects, ensuring all aspects of production are completed in a timely fashion.
File Management, Brand Standards & Quality Assurance
• Manage electronic files and ensure digital assets are used in compliance with Lids Sports Group guidelines.
• Create visual communication solutions to satisfy project needs through original creation or use of external partners.
• Ensure quality assurance of all printed material proofs; review projects and ensure they are in compliance with Lids Sports Group guidelines and expectations.
• Ensure proper usage and distribution of Lids Sports Group trademarks and identity materials.
• Maintain electronic project records, materials, and printed samples.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
• Collaborate with the Digital Customization team and business partners to establish project timelines and expectations; coordinate support from external partners on an as-needed basis.
• Keep abreast of technology, customer needs, and industry-related trends.
• Complete other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Management.

Job Required Knowledge & Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design/Illustration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in Graphic Illustration preferred.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other Adobe Creative Suite applications.
• Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to research and resolve issues.
• Well organized with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent time management skills; ability to multitask and track multiple projects concurrently.
• Ability to present information in a public setting.
• Good understanding of intra-department functions and operations.
• Exceptional drawing skills with a strong portfolio showcasing hand-drawn custom designs.
• Ability to create original, detailed, and visually striking artwork tailored to company needs.
• Solid understanding of various artistic styles and techniques.
• Comfortable collaborating with clients and teams to bring concepts to life.
• Proficiency translating hand-drawn work to digital formats when necessary.
