Job description

Job Summary

The Mixer Operator is responsible for measuring and preparing ingredients for batches and dough. The technician ensures the production of a safe, high-quality product that meets all standards set forth by the company and customer. The primary purpose of this job is to create and drive the quality for exceptional products with all actions in conjunction with the company’s Vision, Mission, and Values.


RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Combine all raw materials in proper sequence and sign off that each ingredient has been added and processed for the correct amount of time as outlined in the Lot Sheet. 
  • Monitor and document downtime and waste and report to lead/supervisor. 
  • Keep the line supplied with ingredients while adhering to the pace set by the Production Lead/Supervisor. 
  • Complete and deliver all batch forms (Lot Sheet) to the Production Manager. 
  • Keep/supervise your work area, tools, and supplies, organized and sanitary throughout the shift. 
  • Communicate with associates impacted by your team and schedule to notify of any changes. 
  • Assist in the training of mixing area as needed. 
  • Stay up to date, time, and speed with production processes and customer specifications. 
  • Read and work with technology to monitor machine functions. 
  • Notify the Lead or Supervisor of any equipment problems immediately. 
  • Follow all GMP’s and Safety Procedures as outlined by Crown Bakeries. 
  • Performs other duties as requested by Production Supervisor/Manager. 
  • Verify that all batches are produced on your shift. 
  • Follow and comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices. 
  • Must be able to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and other departments. Proficient at routine preventative maintenance as well as changeovers. 
  • Follow all safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulations. 
  • Follow company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Attends all company training sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Education and Experience: 


  • Have received a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
