The National and Defense Intelligence Division operates within the Intelligence Center of MITRE's National Security Engineering Center (NSEC). The N927 Mission Engineering Department specializes in intelligence integration and interoperability, technology application, and information technology strategic planning to deliver mission-focused solutions that enhance the effectiveness and connectivity of intelligence operations.

In this role, you are the expert in developing front-end and back-end programming and scalable software solutions supporting Intelligence Community challenges. You are part of a MITRE team developing and designing web architecture, working with databases, and ensuring the responsiveness of applications, among other duties.

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will:

  • Collaborate with a diverse range of government sponsors to understand their challenges, assess potential solutions, and develop actionable applications. You will translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Present your solutions in a clear and user-friendly manner that can be understood by all sponsor audiences, regardless of their technical expertise.
  • Should have a functional knowledge of all layers of computer software development. Proficiency in server, network, and hosting environments, relational and non-relational databases, how to interact with APIs, user interface/experience, quality assurance, version control systems, and security.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires less than 1 year of related experience with a related Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance
  • Basic Proficiency of at least one front-end language/library (e.g. HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
  • Basic Proficiency of at least one of the following languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python, Go) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
  • Basic Proficiency of databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache, Nginx), and grasp of basic CRUD operations and how to structure data efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Git for version control and use of repositories (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) and collaboration workflows.
  • Must have MITRE internship experience within the last 12 months
  • This position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week on-site.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of Full Stack Development experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • Proficiency in one or more multiple front-end languages and libraries ((e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
  • Proficiency in one or more multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python, Go) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js, Vue)
  • Proficiency in database knowledge and experience
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD

$79,200 - $99,000 - $118,800 Annual
