About the Role:
The Director of Marketing will lead the development and execution of an integrated marketing strategy for Mitchell & Ness, ensuring alignment with brand vision, business objectives, and growth priorities. This role reports to the VP of Marketing and serves as a key strategic partner in translating brand, business, and partnership priorities into impactful marketing plans.
As a steward of an iconic heritage brand, this role is responsible for honoring Mitchell & Ness' legacy while evolving how the brand shows up for today's and future fans. This position is highly focused on leadership, strategic planning, and accountability-setting direction, prioritizing initiatives, and leading a high-performing team to deliver measurable results.
How You Will Make an Impact
  • Own and evolve the Mitchell & Ness marketing strategy, aligning brand positioning, heritage, and storytelling with seasonal priorities and commercial goals.
  • Develop and lead annual and quarterly marketing plans, including campaign roadmaps, budgets, and clearly defined success metrics.
  • Partner closely with the VP of Marketing to translate league, partner, and collaboration priorities into integrated marketing strategies that feel authentic to the brand.
  • Serve as a steward of the Mitchell & Ness legacy, ensuring iconic moments, teams, and eras are brought to life in ways that resonate with modern consumers.
  • Lead and inspire a team of marketing professionals (Category, Social, Event, DTC Leads), setting clear goals, expectations, and accountability for outcomes.
  • Oversee integrated campaigns, product launches, collaborations, and cultural moments from concept through execution.
  • Balance short-term commercial objectives with long-term brand building, protecting and strengthening brand equity over time.
  • Ensure all marketing initiatives consistently reflect Mitchell & Ness brand standards, voice, and craftsmanship.
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure performance, optimize investment, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide clear, consistent updates to senior leadership on priorities, progress, risks, and results.
  • Own the marketing budget, ensuring disciplined forecasting, tracking, and ROI-driven decision-making.
  • Drive operational excellence through strong planning, prioritization, and scalable marketing processes.
