The mission of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources is to protect Missouri's natural resources while promoting the environmentally sound operations of businesses, agriculture and industry in our interactions with the public. The Missouri Department of Natural Resources is composed of 4 divisions: Division of Environmental Quality, Missouri State Parks, Missouri Geological Survey and Division of Administrative Support.

The Attorney General is elected by Missouri voters, serves a four-year term, and is not subject to constitutional term limits.
