Physician – Emergency Medicine in Mississippi

Are you an Emergency Medicine physician searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Mississippi might be the perfect fit for you!

Opportunity Highlights
  • Schedule: 24 hours of physician coverage daily
  • Job Setting: Emergency Department – Level IV Trauma Center; 10 ED beds; Medium acuity; Annual ED volume: 14,000; EMR: EPIC with Dragon dictation
  • Types of Cases: Acute care emergency services
  • Credentialing: Must have actual state license board certification in hand, active DEA for the state of Mississippi, and CSR if needed per state in hand. Case logs required for 2 years.
Minimum Requirements
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified or Board Eligible preferred (EM, IM, or FM). Residents accepted with moonlighting approval.
  • Certifications: If not ABEM certified: ACLS, PALS, and ATLS required
  • Licensure: Active Mississippi state license required; Active DEA for the state of Mississippi required
