Job description

Northshore Hospitals Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship

  • Position: Minimally Invasive Surgeon Fellowship

  • Endeavor Health Medical Group: Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park and Swedish Hospitals

What you will need:

  • Medical License: current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia

  • Certification: Board Eligible

  • Experience: Pursuing Fellowship training in Minimally Invasive/Foregut/Bariatric

Endeavor Health formerly NorthShore University Healthsystem, a major teaching hospital of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, is seeking a distinguished board-certified Minimally Invasive Surgeon in the Department of Surgery, Division of Gastrointestinal and General Surgery. The successful candidate for this position will be considered for appointment at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine at the rank of Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor, commensurate with experience, training, and achievement in the field.

Prospective candidates should have completed training in general surgery and subsequent fellowship, with a demonstrated track record of clinical excellence and scholarly activities with achievements in basic or clinical research. Individuals with a demonstrated ability to develop research programs will be strongly considered.

The candidate will join a team of 27 physicians in the multispecialty Division of General Surgery, specifically with six surgeons dedicated to minimally invasive surgery. The division is also comprised of fellowship trained surgeons in colorectal, acute care/trauma, and hepatobiliary subspecialties with access to state-of-the-art robotic assisted surgery using the da Vinci Surgical System. The faculty oversee residency and fellowship programs through the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
