The Opportunity
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Worldwide is hiring a Site Advisor at Minot AFB, ND. The Site Advisor acts as the sole point of contact for Embry-Riddle at this location and is responsible for the academic and operational tasks of the Worldwide site. Duties include academic advising, budget, compliance, facility oversight, and University support (including community relations). Always promotes a positive University image. This position supports and promotes excellence in student services and community interaction at every opportunity throughout all U.S. locations. Participates as a team member and supports our team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Advisement & Student Services
  • Provide academic counseling on degree curriculums, regulations, and progression.
  • Develop personalized degree plans and monitor student success.
  • Assist students with registration, course selection, and academic challenges.
  • Guide students on financial aid, tuition assistance, and Veterans Affairs benefits.
  • Support student retention efforts through proactive outreach and engagement.
  • Promote student involvement in university organizations and mentorship programs.
  • Collaborate with faculty to address student concerns and enhance retention.

Student Communication & Engagement
  • Maintain regular contact with students throughout their academic journey.
  • Provide onboarding support to new students, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Offer proactive outreach to students at risk of attrition.
  • Congratulate and guide students at graduation, promoting alumni engagement.

Management of Student Records
  • Maintain accurate student records in university systems.
  • Document advisement conversations and track academic progress.
  • Assist in resolving enrollment and curriculum-related issues.

University & Site Support
  • Oversee site operations, including facility management and compliance.
  • Coordinate with senior leadership on budget planning and expense management.
  • Engage with the local community to build partnerships and increase enrollment.
  • Support graduation events, enrollment initiatives, and non-credit course opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies, state regulations, and accreditation requirements.

Site Fiscal & Compliance Management
  • Assist in budget development and expense monitoring.
  • Ensure timely reporting and cost-saving measures for site operations.
  • Maintain compliance with state, federal, and accreditation regulations.
  • Oversee inventory and safeguard university assets.
  • Coordinates with the educational services office and productively interacts with applicable Educations Services Officer.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is up to $43,888. The final offer will be based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as applicable state regulations, internal equity, and business needs, and may fall outside of the stated range.
Qualifications
Required Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least three years of professional level experience, preferably working with students
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a professional setting.
  • Candidates must have strong customer service experience and excellent communication skills. A customer-first attitude and professionalism are essential.

Required Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
  • Analytical skills with an in-depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook/email, and preferably SalesForce experience.
  • Ability to learn new things and keep up with the pace of changing technology.
  • Ability to engage and connect with a diverse range of individuals in a friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to investigate, problem solve and make informed decisions.
  • Working knowledge of office procedures and equipment.
