Gold Ranch Casino in Dayton is looking for a Cage Cashier for Variable shifts!

Summary: Cage Cashiers are responsible for cash handling in the cage and must be able to adhere to and follow Nevada State Gaming Control and in-house casino policies and procedures.


Essential Job Functions: 

  • Must have the ability to accurately calculate money.
  • Count in and balance cash drawer using cage count sheet.
  • Complete sales transactions for cigarettes and other items.
  • Cash out Casino tickets for guests.
  • Add Free Play to Player's Cards as needed.
  • Sign up and issue guests Player's Cards.
  • Achieve company objectives in customer service by ensuring that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service always.
  • Cash Sports Book tickets if the Sports Book is closed.
  • Pay out all jackpots to the Slot Attendant, MOD, Lead MOD, Casino Manager, or other property representative as appropriate.
  • Conducts an inventory of all cash and its equivalents.
  • Assist in product ordering when needed.
  • Assist with Casino cleanliness on the Slot Floor and in the Cage.
  • Answer incoming calls and transfer calls as needed.
  • Be knowledgeable and able to explain/promote/assist with all Casino and Marketing events.
  • Ability to speak clearly & comfortably when using a microphone to host promotional events.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills, as well as the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to accurately conduct inventory on all monies and products in the department.
  • Assists with paying slot jackpots and fixing minor slot issues as needed. 
  • Able to learn computer programs needed for viewing customer accounts and dispensing monies.

Requirements

Qualifications/Education/Experience:

         High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred

         Previous cashier experience in a casino environment preferred

Language Ability:

         Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English language

 Math Ability:

         Excellent math skills; ability to calculate money accurately

Certificates and Licenses:

         Gaming Registration Card

Physical Requirements:

         Ability to stand for extended periods of time

         Reaching, bending, stretching, lifting up to 50lbs

         Ability to work in a noisy, smoky casino environment

         Ability to work in a small, confined, office-type setting

Knowledge/Skills:

         Excellent organizational abilities

         Ability to handle cash, calculate accurately, analyze, and account for cash and coin

         Excellent Customer Service skills
