**We are currently hiring for several projects. Most assignments are approximately 6-8 months in duration, with additional projects expected to follow.**

HV Health & Safety is seeking experienced safety professionals to join our growing Safety Services Division as Project Safety & Health Managers. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted safety leader on active construction, mining, manufacturing, energy, and industrial project sitesโ€”helping clients protect their workforce, maintain compliance, and strengthen their safety culture.

This is a hands-on field position for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy solving problems in real time, and take pride in helping workers go home safely every day.

At HV, you'll be part of a team that goes beyond traditional safety consulting. We combine safety expertise with occupational health support, creating a more comprehensive approach to workforce protection.

What You'll Do:

Lead Site Safety Efforts

  • Support and promote site-wide safety programs and initiatives
  • Conduct safety inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
  • Identify risks and work with site leadership to implement corrective actions
  • Investigate incidents and near misses and support root cause analysis
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and client-specific safety requirements
  • Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and workforce training
  • Track safety metrics, documentation, and compliance records
Support Workplace Injury Response
  • Provide first aid care within established physician-directed protocols
  • Respond to workplace injuries and medical events
  • Coordinate with HV's case management team regarding treatment recommendations and follow-up care
  • Maintain first aid equipment, AEDs, and emergency response supplies
  • Document all first aid activities accurately and promptly
Partner with Clients
  • Collaborate closely with project leadership and client safety teams
  • Serve as a visible and approachable safety resource in the field
  • Communicate site needs, challenges, and opportunities to HV leadership
Compensation Transparency

This position offers a salary of $100,000 + per diem/stipend. An optional rotation schedule includes either one Friday off every four weeks or a four-day weekend (Friday and Monday off) every eight weeks, subject to operational coverage.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of safety experience in construction, mining, manufacturing, energy, or heavy industrial environments
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety best practices
  • Experience conducting inspections, investigations, and safety training
  • Ability to work independently while building strong relationships with field teams
Preferred Experience
  • Safety experience in battery energy storage system (BESS) construction and/or industrial electrical environments
  • Emergency response, occupational first aid, military medic, EMS, or related experience
  • Experience supporting large-scale industrial or construction projects
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Emergency Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Certifications

Candidates should possess one of the following credentials:

  • CSP โ€“ Certified Safety Professional
  • ASP โ€“ Associate Safety Professional
  • CHST โ€“ Construction Health & Safety Technician
  • OHST โ€“ Occupational Health & Safety Technician
  • SMS โ€“ Safety Management Specialist
Other
  • First Aid/CPR and EMT certifications are a plus.
