Responsibilities

Project Manager Level 1:

  • Assists in development of project proposals or plans, including timelines, budgets, procedures,
    staffing needs, and resource allocation.
  • Works with Functional Managers to address technical issues and ensure timely engineering
    releases, reporting to relevant departments.
  • Assists with the setup of work plans and staffing for each project phase, and handles recruitment or
    assignment of personnel.
  • Facilitates compliance to product specifications, standards, and legal regulations.
  • Meets with project staff to outline work plans and assign duties and responsibilities.
  • Oversees project activities to ensure they stay on schedule and within budget, communicating plan
    adjustments if necessary.
  • Tracks project progress, manages risks, and prepares reports for management and clients.
  • Assists in project activities with government agencies.
  • Provides technical advice and resolves issues with project personnel.
  • Collaborates with external Liebherr companies on project activities.
  • Applies project management methods, procedures, and tools.

Project Manager Level 2:

  • All duties of PM 1, plus:
  • Creates project proposals or plans to determine time frames, funding limitations, procedures,
    staffing requirements, and resource allocation for various project phases.

  • Organizes and ensures adherence to detailed product specifications, including standards and legal

Project Manager Level 3:

  • All duties of PM 2, plus:
  • Contributes to the project portfolio according to the company's strategy.
  • Manages moderately complex projects involving high-level stakeholders across multiple continents
    and cultures.
  • Manages strategic projects and/or Tier 0 initiatives.
  • Leads interactions with project stakeholders.
  • Serves as a reference within the company and division for all questions related to responsible
    projects.

Senior Project Manager Level 4:

  • All duties of PM 3, plus:
  • Creates project portfolios within defined programs.
  • Coordinates several projects within a program, piloting activities and centralizing information.
  • Responsible for the performance and results of strategic projects for the organization.
  • Functionally leads program teams composed of other project managers.
Competencies

Project Manager Level 2:
Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) from a four-year college or university in engineering or a related field
and 2 to 4 years of project management experience. Experience in an engineering environment is
preferred but not required. PMP Certification or international equivalent is highly desired but not
required.

Project Manager Level 3:
Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) from a four-year college or university in engineering field or a related
field and 2 to 4 years of project management experience in the mining industry, 5 to 8 years of project
management experience overall. Experience with projects spanning multiple business units, continents,
and time zones. PMP Certification or international equivalent is required.
