Overview

Turner Staffing Group is hiring a Mining Foreman to support operations in Hinkley, California. This is a leadership role responsible for overseeing daily production activities, managing crews, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with production goals.

This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong field experience who can drive performance, maintain accountability, and lead from the front in an active mining environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of operators, laborers, and support personnel
  • Ensure production targets are met while maintaining safety and quality standards
  • Monitor and manage equipment utilization and workforce productivity
  • Enforce all site safety policies and MSHA regulations
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, job briefings, and shift handoffs
  • Identify and resolve operational issues in real time
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime
  • Train, mentor, and develop crew members
  • Maintain clear communication with site management and client representatives
  • Complete required reports, documentation, and production tracking
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or foreman role within mining, quarry, or heavy civil operations
  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operations and production processes
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
  • Valid driver's license required
  • MSHA certification required (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-production environment
  • Reliable, organized, and able to make sound decisions under pressure
