Heavy Industrial, Mining, or Mobile Equipment Fleet Experience is Preferred.


We're looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to help keep our frac sand mining and processing operations running safely and efficiently. If you have hands-on experience managing mobile equipment, coordinating inspections, overseeing repairs, maintaining parts inventory, and supporting maintenance teams in mining, aggregates, manufacturing, heavy industrial, or related environments, we'd love to hear from you! This role focuses on ensuring fleet readiness, reducing downtime, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and keeping equipment up to MSHA and company safety standards.


What You'll Do

  • Oversee daily fleet operations and help ensure mobile equipment is maintained and ready for use.
  • Perform routine vehicle and equipment inspections to identify worn or damaged parts, components, or systems.
  • Assign work orders to mechanics for repairs or replacement of defective parts, including engines, fuel systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, and electrical systems.
  • Test-drive vehicles or equipment as needed to verify repairs and proper operation.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
  • Maintain, order, and audit parts inventory to support efficient repairs and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership, maintenance, operations, and other departments to support efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure fleet equipment is maintained in compliance with MSHA and company standards.

Requirements

ย What We're Looking For

  • Hands-on experience managing or maintaining mobile equipment, vehicles, or heavy industrial fleet assets.
  • Understanding of basic vehicle mechanics and the ability to identify when major repairs are needed.
  • Proficiency using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, decision-making, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, stoop, bend, or kneel for extended periods while working indoors, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions.
