Job Scope:

Work entails equipment selection, aggregate flow analysis, drafting and conceptual proposal development, equipment and plant quote preparation, assistance with equipment/plant startups, and participation in plant optimization studies. This job requires knowledge and skills in several different fields such as crushing, screening and conveying.

Essential Duties:

  • Maintain expert level of product knowledge and application
  • Travel to customer sites for bid proposal discussions
  • Perform field measuring duties, along with gathering survey data
  • Listen, understand, and convey customer requirements
  • Perform aggregate flow analyses and plant optimization studies, while making recommendations
  • Develop conceptual drawings
  • Produce scopes of work for contractor bid purposes, including concrete/construction/electrical
  • Develop internal cost estimates and bid proposals for external customers
  • Basic timeline and schedule development
  • Form and maintain relationships with both vendors and customers

Secondary Duties:

  • Maintain an overall safe work environment
  • Maintain and understand internal estimate form
  • Assist Contract Crushing and Rental Divisions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of industry terminology for equipment, parts, and processes
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to use 2D/3D CAD software, AutoCAD/Inventor preferred
  • Ability to use process simulation software, including AggFlow and/or Bruno
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications and other software

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering

Experience Requirements:

Two to three years of related experience preferred

Personal protective equipment, such as steel toe boots, a hard hat, safety glasses, and ear plugs/muffs, are required on the crushing site. Individuals may be exposed to hot or cold temperatures.
