We are currently seeking a Senior Mining Consultant to join the mining team in any of our West or South West office locations.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance for large projects of high complexity.
  • Evaluates, selects, specifies, and engineers all mining engineered systems.
  • Participates in project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Participates in client project requirement meetings, value analysis, and basic cost estimating.
  • Participates in constructability review.
  • Conducts quality assurance and quality control on own projects and projects of peers.
  • Leads and provides guidance in the development of new standards and specifications for the mining group.
  • Review project scope, budgets, and design approach for all size projects.
  • Reviews proposals for mining projects.
Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Strong knowledge of industry standards.
  • Technical knowledge in multiple underground and surface mining methods.
  • Ability to lead one or more teams through all phases of projects.
  • Checks the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manages time to meet project budget and schedule.
  • Participates and collaborates in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
  • Expertise in mine health and safety regulations.
  • Strong presentation and interview skills.
  • Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Assists in business development of current and new clients
  • Assists in the evaluation and hiring of new team members.
  • Willing to mentor and teach your expertise to our mining team.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Preferably with a strong operational background in career.
