Job description

Job Title: CDL Class A Tandem Axle Driver
Location: Indianapolis, IN


Pay:
• $25 - $30hr + OT


Schedule:
• Monday – Friday
• Voluntary weekend work available
• Start time: 7:00 AM
• End time: Typically between 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Overtime opportunities available for those who want additional hours
• Local routes – home every night


Position Overview & Key Responsibilities:
• Operate automatic transmission Class A tandem axle trailers
• Transport heavy equipment including directional drills, skid steers, and mini excavators
• Haul equipment using tandem axle and pendle axle trailers
• Deliver equipment to telecommunication job sites, typically one job site per day
• Secure equipment and loads in accordance with safety regulations
• Assist with loading equipment onto trailers when qualified to operate machinery
• Work primarily in residential areas supporting telecommunications infrastructure projects
• Opportunity to learn and operate heavy equipment while utilizing CDL skills
• Perform occasional lifting of 50+ lbs throughout the workday


Qualifications/Requirements:
• Valid CDL Class A License required - OPEN TO NEW DRIVERS
• DOT Med Card
• Ability to safely secure heavy equipment and loads
• Tanker endorsement preferred (used when hauling large quantities of water)
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs throughout the day
• Must be able to pass company hiring requirements and background review
• No SAP participants
• No DUI or reckless driving violations within the last 5 years
• Background checks reviewed on a case-by-case basis
