Who are we?
Code Ninjas is the nation’s fastest-growing kids coding franchise. In our center, kids ages 7-14 learn to code in a fun, non-intimidating way – by playing and building video games they love. Kids have a blast and can’t wait to come back. Parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence and new skills including coding, math, logic, and problem-solving, as they progress from white to black belt. Our core promise is, Kids have fun, parents see results. We believe in these words so much that it’s written on the walls in our center.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for a part-time Coding Instructor to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward-thinking minds, working toward our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. Our Senseis are the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas center. As a Sensei, you’ll create an engaging, supportive environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help ignite a passion for technology and innovation in students of all backgrounds. This role offers a flexible schedule perfect for passionate educators or tech enthusiasts eager to make a positive impact while sharing their knowledge.

  • Facilitate hands-on activities involving computer programming, robotics, and technology projects
  • Follow opening/closing duties daily
  • Complete training courses on our coding curriculum

  • Lead engaging coding camps for multiple age groups, guiding students through hands-on projects while creating a fun, supportive learning environment
  • Pick up students from local schools and walk over to our center
  • Provide homework support to students
  • Report as needed to the Lead Sensei and Program Manager with respect to the day’s activities and productivity in the dojo
Qualifications:
  • Working history with children ages 7 and up (mentoring, coaching, tutoring etc.)
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a respectful and inclusive environment
  • Coding and technology skills: knowledgeable about, or willingness to learn, introductory concepts in JavaScript and Godot. Skills in Minecraft, Roblox, robotics, or 3D printing a plus.
  • Looking for individuals who seek ways to contribute rather than waiting to be told.
  • Demonstrated experience with children ages 5-14 in babysitting, childcare, mentoring, coaching, tutoring, etc.
  • Knowledge of coding & technology and computer science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, discrete math, and machine learning is highly desirable
  • Works well with others; collaborates
  • Must like working in fast-paced environments where requirements can change frequently
  • Familiarity with special education strategies or working with diverse learning needs is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be fun, and able to help our ninjas have fun too!
Join us in inspiring the next generation of young coders and innovators!
