Job Description

Brevard County is an EEO/VP employer. Part Time. Continuous Recruitment – Applications will be active for 3 months. To be considered for this position after 3 months, Applicant must reactivate their application. $11.95 hourly. North Area/Mims/Titusville. Part-time/2 hours daily (mornings and afternoons) on school days. Responsible for the safe and orderly crossing of school-age children at assigned location.

Requirements

No formal training or experience is required. Experience as a crossing guard or other work with elementary school age children is desirable.

Special Requirements

Must be of good moral character as determined by background investigation. Must be able to pass the Brevard County Performance Checklist for School Crossing Guards prior to assuming School Crossing Guard duties. Must have, in good working order, a telephone at residence or a personal cell phone. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man made disaster, which may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
