Job description

Milwaukee Valve Company is looking for a 3rd shift Elect/Mech Tech to join our Prairie Du Sac, WI team in Department 270.
All offers of employment by Milwaukee Valve Company, LLC. are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, blood test, physical capabilities test, and background check, all with acceptable results. Applicants are responsible scheduling and completing the required drug screen, blood test, and physical capabilities test within 7 calendar days of offer acceptance.
* This position is eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus. The first half ($1,000) is payable after successful completion of the orientation period and the second half ($1,000) is payable after one year of employment. *
*The pay range ($25.07 - 29.63/per hour) is aligned with the candidate's experience and background. * The shift premium for this position is 4.5%.
The regularly scheduled hours for this position are 9:00 pm - 5:30 am Monday through Friday. Overtime may become a possibility or even required. When working overtime, the regularly scheduled shift is adjusted by 1-2 hours at either the beginning or end of the regularly scheduled shift. Overtime may also be requested or mandatory on Saturdays as well.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities to which competency will be measured include the following:
โ€ข Perform maintenance work on all plant equipment, including various types of electrical repairs; maintain foundry and shop machinery, heating systems, foundry furnaces,
compressors, electrical, plumbing, etc.
โ€ข Require basic working knowledge of various types of trade fundamentals sufficient to deal with various repairs.
โ€ข Operate and use of various types of power tools, including but not limited to hand tools, welders, torches, and other types of various maintenance shop machinery.
โ€ข Rebuild or create parts for machinery for both the foundry and shop areas.
โ€ข Responsible for performing duties specified in schedule as per instructions from supervisor.
โ€ข Safety awareness when working with all power tools, hand tools, and all other types of machinery in the plant and in the maintenance department.
โ€ข Work areas and equipment thru-out the shop must be maintained in a clean, safe and orderly condition on a daily basic.
โ€ข Have good knowledge of blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder diagrams and machine parts drawings.
โ€ข Must be able to work in all types of working conditions typically found in foundry and shop environments.
โ€ข Work with other maintenance personnel when required.
โ€ข Work is subject to final inspection.
โ€ข Willing to take advanced training classes to understand and troubleshoot CNC controls and PLC controls.
โ€ข Willing to take advanced training classes for electrical wiring, electrical schematics, and ladder diagrams.
Other duties may be assigned.
