This position is hourly and eligible for OT pay as well as Double Time on extended shifts. It pays $30 - $34.50 based on experience.

What are the Key Responsibilities of this role?

    • Keep our plant running at peak performance by operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting high-speed manufacturing equipment.
    • Perform hands-on preventive and corrective maintenance on large fuel distribution systems and heavy machinery.
    • Apply your expertise in bulk material transfer, processing, packaging, or facilities/utilities to drive operational excellence.
    • Ensure safety and compliance by following GMPs, SOPs, and all plant safety standards.
    • Collaborate with high-performance teams to deliver innovative solutions and improve processes.
    • Use computer systems for recordkeeping and technical troubleshooting.
    • Take pride in maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

To be great at this job you will need:

  • High school diploma/GED required; technical/trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
  • 2-5 years' experience as a maintenance mechanic or millwright in a manufacturing environment (high-speed manufacturing preferred).
  • Skilled in handling all levels of power voltage safely.
  • Experience maintaining heavy equipment and large fuel distribution systems.
  • Strong teamwork skills, with a history of contributing to high-performing groups.
  • Comfortable working with computers for documentation and troubleshooting.

Physical Requirements:

In order to perform duties in a satisfactory manner, you must be able to navigate the production floor where temperatures may vary in an environment with dust particulates. Prolong standing and walking. Bends, stoops, climbs and crouches on a regular basis in order to service, troubleshoot and clean equipment. Also required to push, lift and pull various raw materials such as film, tin tie rolls and valves weighing up to 60 lbs.

Work Environment:

  • Work performed in a manufacturing plant environment.
  • Mechanical equipment with moving mechanical parts.
  • Exposure to high noise levels, dusts, heat, cold, and fumes from chemicals used in flavorings.
