Job description

PURPOSE:

This position performs general maintenance activities within the plant which do not require craft skills. The position also provides feeder labor to operating, laboratory and packaging/shipping operations within the plant on an as needed basis and on a permanent basis as openings occur.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to use Microsoft suite software package
  • Ability to perform the following physical activities
    • Climb to heights over 50 feet above ground
    • Enter and work in confined spaces
    • Lift weights of at least 50 pounds and move weights of at least 100 pounds
    • Work any shift or rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
    • Work overtime as required
  • Good reading, comprehension, communication and math skills
  • Be able to pass a drug screen
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Work in weather extremes

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

  • Prior manufacturing experience on rotating shifts or any of the following craft experience or training:
    • Millwright
    • Process Technology
    • Instrumentation
    • Pump Mechanic
    • Electrician
  • Post high school education especially in a field that applies to a petrochemical facility
