Job description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Millwright to join our client's team. The Millwright will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-precision mechanical and industrial production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical skills, hands-on mechanical expertise, and an unwavering commitment to safety, quality, and operational uptime.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install, assemble, and align industrial machinery, conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and mechanical systems
  • Level, calibrate, and test machinery according to manufacturer specifications and blueprint layouts
  • Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled repairs to minimize downtime
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, identify root causes, and perform component replacements
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics
  • Use precision tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and laser alignment equipment
  • Dismantle and reassemble machinery for relocation, repair, or replacement, ensuring proper realignment and testing
  • Conduct safety inspections and adhere to lock-out/tag-out procedures and OSHA standards
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to optimize equipment reliability and performance
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts usage, and maintenance logs

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Millwright or Industrial Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Proficient in mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial automation equipment
  • Ability to read and apply mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and blueprints
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
  • Experience with welding and fabrication preferred; certification is a plus
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance systems and reliability best practices
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities
  • Physically capable of performing demanding work (lifting, climbing, confined spaces, heights)
  • Must adhere to all safety and quality protocols; OSHA 30 or Lock-Out/Tag-Out certification preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required; completion of a technical program, apprenticeship, or certification in industrial maintenance or mechanics preferred
