Job Title: Millwright
Location: Kansas City, Kansas (De Soto, Olathe, Kansas area)
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $28 per hour
Per Diem: $100 per day (must meet requirements)
Schedule: 55-65 hours per week
Duration: 12-14 long month project
Position Overview:
We are seeking skilled and motivated Millwrights to join our team in the De Soto, Olathe, Kansas Area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals for machinery installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools
  • Perform routine maintenance, including equipment alignment, calibration, and inspections
  • Assist with machinery setup, breakdowns, and relocations as needed
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to complete projects on schedule
  • Work flexible hours, including overtime, some Saturdays, and occasional holidays

Qualifications:
  • Completion of a recognized Millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Solid mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Experience using hand and power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools
  • Physically capable of lifting, bending, climbing, and performing demanding tasks
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug screening
  • OSHA 10 construction certification (required)
