As a Millwright Laborer / Junior Rigger, you will support the construction and installation of ski lift systems in challenging mountainous environments. This role is open to entry-level candidates looking to gain hands on construction experience as well as junior level candidates with prior rigging or mechanical background. Depending on your experience, you will perform general labor, foundation work, mechanical assembly, and rigging tasks under appropriate levels of supervision. Entry-level employees receive close guidance and training, while more experienced individuals take on routine and moderately complex assignments with increased independence.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, outdoor environments, and seasonal construction projects. The average construction season typically runs from May through November, with extended hours during peak project periods.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the construction, assembly, and installation of ski lift systems following established procedures
  • Perform foundation and structural work including site preparation, excavation, form work, rebar placement, and concrete pouring
  • Support mechanical assembly, rigging, steel erection, and alignment tasks
  • Assist with or support crane, forklift, and telehandler operations after training and authorization
  • Climb towers and work at heights up to 80 feet using approved fall protection systems
  • Read and interpret construction drawings or layout plans for assigned tasks (experience-dependent)
  • Transport tools and materials across rocky, uneven, and steep terrain
  • Maintain job site cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards
  • Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding task progress and material needs
  • Work extended hours (60+ per week) during peak season in variable mountain weather conditions

Your Profile:

  • 0–4 years of experience in construction, labor, rigging, or mechanical assembly
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred/required depending on experience level
  • Basic to proficient knowledge of construction and rigging practices
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools
  • Comfortable working at heights with fall protection systems (training provided)
  • Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs. over rugged terrain
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures

Certifications & Requirements:

  • Fluent Spanish speaking ability required; bilingual English/Spanish
  • OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain before hire date)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to remote job sites

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Ability to read or interpret blueprints or construction drawings
    • Experience with cranes, telehandlers, forklifts, or heavy equipment
    • First Aid / CPR certification
    • Experience working in mountainous terrain or remote job sites
    • Familiarity with ski lift systems or alpine construction environments
    • Experience with trailering and equipment logistics
