Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in safety, quality, and manage KPI's, and employee engagement to the operations team.
- Supervise maintenance team of millwrights while working closely with other supervisors and managers.
- Meeting established production specifications, schedules and quality standards.
- Analyze production and operational trends to identify problems in order to recommend solutions to improve performance of machine centers.
- Assess employee performance and provide feedback to help reach planer mill KPI's
- Perform all other related tasks that will help drive the planer mill and overall success of the mill and drive employee performance and engagement.
Qualifications
- Years of Experience Preferred: 2+ years of relevant supervisory experience.
- A strong commitment to safety and an understanding to behavior-based safety programs.
- Understanding & Experience in Process Improvement is an asset.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and career development.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a multidisciplinary environment, with a high level of detail.
- Organizational, prioritizing and time management skills.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
