Millwright III - Expert Industrial Machinery Installer and Maintenance Specialist

What You'll Do:
  • Install, align, and commission stationary industrial machinery, including gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, and pumps, in accordance with layout plans using hand and power tools.
  • Inspect equipment for irregularities, troubleshoot issues, and execute repairs or replacements of defective parts.
  • Operate machine tools for fabrication during overhauls, maintenance, or set-up processes.
  • Ensure safety devices are fully functional after repairs and modifications, maintaining the highest safety standards.
  • Participate in preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance.
  • Keep detailed and accurate documentation of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting machinery.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and environmentally compliant work area.
  • Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to execute additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial machinery installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, P&IDs, safety procedures, and technical manuals.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, dexterity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Basic computer skills-including MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly under stressful conditions.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs., transport loads up to 75 lbs., and work at heights and in various postures.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience working with gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, and pumps.
  • Welding or fabrication experience.
  • Knowledge of power generation equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety standards relevant to industrial environments.

Preferred Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in mechanical maintenance are a plus.
  • Extensive industrial maintenance experience, specifically with gas turbines and pumps.

Other Requirements:
  • Candidates must be based in Alaska or the Pacific Northwest.
  • Willingness to work a 14-day on/14-day off rotation, with 12-hour shifts.
  • Must wear all required safety equipment and be capable of handling emergency breathing apparatus.
  • Ability to work outdoors in temperature extremes and across rugged terrain.
  • Must pass background checks and any additional safety and drug screening as required.
