This role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects. Responsibilities include training team members, maintaining all safety and compliance logs and overseeing end-to-end production of custom moldings, MSG, corbels, pergolas, flooring, brackets from various woods, MDF or PVC materials. The Shop Floor Supervisor works closely with the Millshop Manager and supports overall departmental objectives. Our facility has three molders and a CNC in addition to multiple secondary shaping and finishing stations. This position manages workflow, shop personnel, maintains equipment readiness, and ensures high-quality output. The role also supports delivery logistics to ensure finished products arrive safely and on schedule.Position Requirements:This position requires the incumbent to be flexible and adaptable to the changes rapidly affecting it. A responsible person with the ability to lead and provide a motivational environment. Strong leadership and organizational skills are crucial for the effective performance of the shop and the team. Must be able to communicate effectively and have excellent interpersonal skills. This is a working position, so a strong understanding of the manufacturing workflow and machine capabilities is important along with a proficiency in reading and interpreting production blueprints is needed. The ability to schedule resources and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously, and OSHA 10 certification is preferred. Minimum 5+ years in high-end custom millwork or cabinetry, including 2+ years supervisory experience. Mastery of wood species, joinery, moisture behavior, and advanced fabrication methods. Ability to operate and troubleshoot CNC and finishing equipment. Strong ability to interpret complex architectural drawings. Basic understanding of routing, load management, and delivery logistics. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Experience operating forklifts.Duties Include:Production & Team LeadershipConvert blueprints, shop drawings, and CAD files into cutting lists and production schedules.Supervise Molder Operators, CNC Machinist, Craftsman, Driver and finishers; provide hands-on coaching.Conduct quality checks at each production stage, ensuring compliance with ordersShop Operations & SafetyOversee maintenance and calibration of CNC routers, molders, sanders, and related equipment.Manage inventory of wood blanks, S4S, sheet goods, hardware, and other materials.Enforce OSHA standards and ensure safe handling of machinery and finishing materials.Delivery & LogisticsMaintain the weekly delivery schedule and coordinate with Sales Reps and jobsite personnel.Supervise delivery driver, verify logbooks, and oversee vehicle maintenance.Ensure all products are properly packaged and secured for transport.Review packing slips, Bills of Lading.If you are excited about this management opportunity and meet these requirements, don't delay.
