Job description

Pay is based on experience and ranges between $22 and $30/hour

Objective: DMA Custom Millwork, a commercial millwork company, is seeking an experienced Custom Builder to join a highly motivated, fast paced team that always meets production expectations. Pay will be based on experience.


Job Duties:

  • Read and interpret written directives to determine specifications and material requirements for fabrication
  • Utilize appropriate measuring tools to prepare layout
  • Follow standard and procedures for constructing exhibits; make repair adjustments as necessary
  • Use appropriate tools for measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling materials
  • Ensure efficient and safe operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance troubleshoot and repair all equipment malfunctions
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Working knowledge of the safe operation of hand and power tools
  • Working knowledge and skill using standard fabrication tools and equipment


Essential Requirements:

  • Demonstrate ability to follow directions and stay productive without constant supervision
  • Able to lift 75 lbs.
  • At least 1 year of experience in millwork operations.
  • Understanding of carpentry and wood-working
  • Working knowledge of the safe operation of hand and power tools
  • Ability to establish priorities, goals, deadlines and meet them
  • Ability to be flexible, shifting priorities and projects as needed
  • Proven experience working with particle board, plywood, veneer, laminate, fabric, acrylics as well as lightweight materials.
  • Knowledge or ability to learn safety requirements of shop environment
  • Excellent time management, problem solving, planning, and judgment skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team with a positive attitude
