BPI is seeking a CDL A Utility Driver to deliver building materials and millwork to our customers and job sites surrounding our Waterloo branch. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is independent, friendly, and enthusiastic, with a natural sense of urgency and a commitment to delivering accurate and thorough solutions. You will communicate with customers, understand their needs, and ensure a smooth, efficient delivery process. Success in this role requires the ability to build instant rapport, respond in a quick and accommodating manner, and consistently achieve high levels of customer satisfaction. This is a customer facing role where a friendly and outgoing personality are a huge plus as you will be representing our company to our customers.Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate one of our company tractor-trailers to deliver building materials to dealer partners, lumber yards, and job sites in a timely manner.
  • Provide professional, customer-facing service by communicating clearly, verifying orders, and representing the company during deliveries.
  • Pick, stage, load, and verify orders to ensure delivery accuracy and proper load securement.
  • Assist with warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment while following company safety policies and DOT regulations.
Skills & Qualifications
  • A valid Class A commercial driver's license.
  • A current DOT medical card.
  • The ability to comply with applicable DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday with hours that vary according to operational and delivery needs.
  • Knowledge of warehouse practices, including the use of RF scan guns and proper material loading.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • A dependable, safety-focused approach to both driving and warehouse work.
