Millennial Counseling Centre is actively seeking a dedicated and Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in trauma-focused therapies. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to gather detailed histories and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Creating and executing individualized treatment strategies that align with evidence-based practices for trauma recovery.
  • Delivering a range of therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to assist clients in processing trauma, developing healthy coping mechanisms, and fostering emotional healing.
  • Collaborating with psychiatrists and allied health professionals to ensure seamless and coordinated care for our clients.
  • Providing crisis intervention services during traumatic emergencies, ensuring clients receive immediate and effective support.
  • Educating clients and their families on trauma responses and effective coping strategies.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following:

  • A minimum of a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building approaches is essential.
