Since 1968, our production facility in Minster, Ohio, has proudly manufactured fresh yogurt. Our mission is to bring health through food to as many people as possible. Danone North America is looking for a Raw Milk Operator in Minster, Ohio.
The primary responsibilities of a Raw Milk Operator are to effectively perform manual tasks and operate computer systems necessary for the homogenization and pasteurization of raw materials. Other responsibilities require coordination and planning with other departments. Being self-directed and having good decision-making skills. Being able to troubleshoot complex problems. Other responsibilities require the ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs., endurance, and stamina (e.g., standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crawling, and climbing stairs etc., for long hours). Danone's fast-paced environment requires successful employees to be on their feet most of their shift 12-hour shift, and to have a high attention to quality and working safely. In this position you will wear a free uniform that includes steel toed shoes, safety eyewear, ear plugs, hairnet and bump cap.
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Consistently communicate with operators, maintenance, delivery personnel, and all departments involved in production process (e.g., warehouse, distribution, fruit room, packaging, scheduling)
  • Receive raw materials from delivery personnel and verify the delivery information (e.g., wash tags, license plates, permits, seal numbers, and dates)
  • Obtain raw and developed samples for quality lab testing/plating
  • Separate and weigh raw materials during lab testing
  • Perform quality checks (e.g., antibiotic testing) on raw materials
  • Process and deliver raw materials and in-process product components to other personnel via transfer lines
  • Test raw materials and in-process product components for nutritional contents
  • Operate safe harbor cages for access to deliver trailers
  • Prevent cross-contamination between raw materials
  • Enter product information into computer systems
  • Load module of injection ferments
  • Change cleaning pipes and equipment
  • Prepare for subsequent phases in the manufacturing process
  • Troubleshoot and respond to process breakdowns
  • Cleaning and sanitation tasks (e.g., equipment sterilization, disposal of waste material, general housekeeping, etc.)
  • Perform confined space tank entries with fellow team members to check tank integrity, cleanliness, and modified areas for cracks or abnormalities.
  • Other assigned duties as directed

The Raw Milk Operator base rate is $28.34 plus night shift premium of $1.00/hr! The base rate increases to $29.83/hr after one year.   • High School degree or GED (Required)
  • Advanced education a plus (Technical, Associates, Bachelors)
  • Open schedule ability. This means you are able to work nights, weekends and holidays when scheduled. Our employees work a 3-2-2 schedule

The ability to perform physical demands of:
    • A fast-paced environment
