Job Overview

The Bulk Tank Driver plays a key role in executing assigned driver pick-up and delivery tasks. This includes receiving, transporting, and delivering raw milk from the milk producers (farms) to the processing plants in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Your impact as a Bulk Tank Driver

As a Bulk Tank Driver, you’ll be on the front line of Byrne’s dairy operations—responsible for safely transporting raw milk from local farms to our processing facilities. Your attention to detail, commitment to safety, and professionalism ensure the quality and integrity of every load we deliver.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate tanker trucks to collect and transport raw milk while maintaining strict temperature and quality standards.
  • Perform thorough pretrip and posttrip inspections to ensure safe, compliant operation.
  • Conduct milk sampling and quality testing at farm pickup locations, including temperature and residue checks.
  • Clean and sanitize tanker compartments to meet rigorous hygiene and foodsafety requirements.
  • Accurately document weights, temperatures, quality results, and delivery records for regulatory compliance.
  • Communicate professionally with farm partners and plant personnel to ensure smooth, efficient operations.

Min. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Ability to obtain a NYS Milk Receiver’s License
  • Valid CDL A with Air Brake and Tanker endorsement
  • Working knowledge of NYS DOT regulations and safety standards
