Summary
This position is located with the Marketing Department: - Fort Riley, Kansas.
Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of our Soldiers and their families? We are seeking a creative and driven Marketing Assistant to help promote vital quality-of-life programs, events, and services across our Army community.

Duties
Help
  • Works closely with supervisor, higher level managers and Information Technology specialists in applying and implementing website initiatives.
  • Evaluates user requirements and advises on design capabilities and maintenance responsibilities.
  • Assists in the production of marketing plans and materials.
  • Communicates MWR program promotions and advertisement to the Installation population through flyers, posters, bulletin boards, calendars, e-mails, announcements and other media.
  • Assists in the marketing and coordination of annual MWR special events.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Must be willing to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
- Practical knowledge of website maintenance and 1-3 years experience in marketing.
- Must possess organizational skills and be able to work quickly in a web-based environment.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment under pressure to meet project deadlines and specific tasks.
Highly preferred eligible candidates will be referred to management first. In addition to meeting the above qualifications, highly preferred is defined as also meeting all of the criteria listed below:

Experience with Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver)
.- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or similar field.
