Job description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager (QCM) to join our team! SGS, LLC is an Oklahoma based General Contractor / Design-Builder. We currently have openings for qualified personnel on a new commercial construction project located at White Sands Missile Range in White Sands New Mexico.

Responsibilities:

  • Involved in all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
  • Management/Enforcement of SGS’s Quality Control Program
  • Management/Enforcement of SGS’s Safety Program and Security Policies
  • Implementation of SGS’s Comprehensive Quality Control Inspection System
  • Review/Approval of shop drawings, submittals
  • Generating and follow-through with RFI’s, directives, change notices, etc.
  • Participate in regular progress/coordination meetings
  • Project Close-out procedures
  • Develop/Maintain As-built documents
  • Support Scheduling and Coordination of Subcontractors
  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, government officials, etc.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects
  • Must have a current USACE Construction Quality Management Certification
  • Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; preferred
  • OSHA 30-Hour and CPR/First Aid certifications; preferred
  • Familiar with requirements of the EM 385 1-1, 2014 version
  • 40Hr EM385 Certification and 24Hr Competent Person Certification; preferred
  • Require knowledge and experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, requires applicants to be of able body to assist in performing certain portions of the work, and to manage and schedule subcontractors
  • Experience in working with and understanding Primavera project schedules is a plus
  • Experience with USACE RMS software
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of construction means and methods
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
