FULL-TIME
Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility)
A growing, 144-bed behavioral health facility - Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24-hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues will be offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.
Position Summary
Primary function of Lead Milieu Specialist is to ensure patient safety. The Lead Milieu Specialist assists CNO with planning and oversight of the MHT patient care role and overall goal of facilitating the provision of continuous and safe patient care, observation, interaction and role modeling to patient. The Lead Milieu Specialist is responsible for primary training, preceptorship and mentorship of the MHTs throughout the facility. Patients served include adults (ages 18-64); older adults (65+), and adolescents (ages 12-17).

Qualifications
Qualifications
Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social services, or related health field required. Master's Degree preferred.
Experience : Five (5) years of experience in risk management, Mental Health Tech, Milieu Specialist or other clinical position in a psychiatric treatment setting.
Additional Requirements: Knowledge of Joint Commission, Michigan Mental Health Code, CMS standards, and any other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.
