General Manager — The Kitchenworks of Fort Wayne

Location: Fort Wayne, IN

The Kitchenworks of Fort Wayne is looking for a General Manager who can bring sharp business instincts, confident sales leadership, and disciplined operations together to spark our next chapter of growth. You will own the P&L, drive sales momentum, set the pace for a small but talented team, and build a smart, profitable path forward in a competitive market. Key Responsibilities

·       P&L Ownership: Full accountability for location revenue, margin, and operating costs. 

·       Sales Growth: Set and enforce sales activity standards for both divisions. Drive outbound business development with builders, designers, architects, and contractors. Build strong referral relationships with local designers, builders, architects, and other industry professionals.

·       Team Leadership: Lead and develop a small team across design and appliance sales. 

·       Operations Management: Ensure a seamless workflow from sale to installation. Oversee showroom presentation, inventory discipline, vendor relationships, order pipeline, and delivery/install coordination. Manage communication with referral partners, clients, and internal team members to keep opportunities moving forward.

·       Client Experience: Protect and enhance our established reputation through smooth project execution and white glove service. Use your design/build, construction, or remodeling experience to understand project needs and recommend the right solutions.

Qualifications

·       Proven P&L Leadership - Experience running a location, branch, store, or business unit with real revenue responsibility. 

·       Ability to discuss specific financial results.

·       Proven experience building or enforcing a sales process and holding a team to activity standards

·       Strong relationship-building, follow-through, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

·      A minimum of 10 years of leadership and management experience, preferably in a showroom setting.

·      Ideal candidates will have experience in construction, remodeling, cabinetry, design/build, or project management.

·      Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
