Job Summary

The Senior Land Agent serves as a lead company liaison with landowners, contractors, other companies, and federal, state, and local governmental agencies to support the company’s ongoing Midstream projects. Responsible overseeing negotiations of pipeline, right of ways, leases, and fee property acquisitions, settling damage claims, managing contract staff, and other responsibilities as assigned.

Key Accountabilities

  • Serve as a team lead for all land agents, associate land agents and senior land agents positions.
  • Oversees negotiations of pipeline rights of ways, easement, leases, access roads, and fee property acquisitions.
  • Manages contract staff on day to day operations and reviews invoices.
  • Track land acquisitions metrics to include financial tracking and performance.
  • Assesses and settles damage claims, problems, or inquiries while representing the company in a positive manner.
  • Coordinates activities connected with real property interests throughout the life cycle of a project.
  • Coordinates with GIS for the preparation of exhibit drawings.
  • Acts as a company liaison with landowners, other companies, and governmental agencies at the federal, state, and local levels as required to support project requirements.
  • Drafts a variety of land related business agreements.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Requires the ability to travel, occasionally with little to no notice.
  • May be required to work non-standard working hours.
  • 50% travel

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, PLM, Energy Commerce or other related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years’ land related oil and gas experience or in lieu of a degree significant land experience
  • Possess & maintain a valid driver’s license

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Empathetic, even tempered, with excellent interpersonal ‘people’ skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in speech and writing with members at all levels throughout the organization, outside professionals, customers and contractors.
  • Ability to effectively use a computer with MS Office Suite and related applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and SAP).
