Job description

LOCATION: 268 Milam Road, Longview, TX 75603

The individual must live within one hour of reporting location.

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs work related to operation, maintenance, and repair of plant and compression equipment, including processing plant equipment, pumps, gas and refrigeration compressors, coolers, electric generation, dehydration equipment, and control systems. This position may be required to work on a call out rotation during weekends.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs routine operation, maintenance, and repair of plant and field equipment, including compressor equipment, coolers, separators, and control systems; and performs routine operating checks, adjusts, maintains, and repairs as required for efficient operations.
  • Utilizes preventative maintenance system to prepare and strictly carry out the maintenance schedule based upon manufacturerโ€™s recommendations and industry accepted guidelines for each piece of operating equipment.
  • Submits requests for parts, services, and materials to supervisor.
  • Prepares accurate written and computer reports as required of all maintenance and repair work.
  • Performs or supervises major overhauls of equipment and assists with the construction of new facilities.
  • Assures all facilities are maintained in a weed-free, clean, and painted condition and on a maintenance schedule to minimize downtime, lost production and maintain a safe operating environment.
  • Directs contract labor when necessary and monitors the activity of third-party representatives when present on company sites.
  • Adheres to all Safety requirements in all aspects of the work and participates in program development and reviews.
  • Maintains good working relationship with company customers, employees, and contractors.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, including the ability to recognize situations in which confidentiality is required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of six years' experience in engine and compressor operation, maintenance, and repair. The six-year experience requirement may be modified depending on qualifications.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of gas compression equipment, coolers, dehydration systems, positive displacement and centrifugal pumps.
  • Waukesha and Caterpillar maintenance experience preferred.
  • Proven experience operating, repairing, and maintaining Ariel compressors required.
  • Proficiency using precision tools required for the installation and maintenance of high-speed rotating equipment.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic and electronic engine/compressor control systems, gas detection and emergency shut down system, operation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, and Maximo.
  • Must have valid driver's license and be insurable under company's vehicle insurance policy.
  • Must pass a background check.
