Reports to: District Manager, Midstream Operations

Education requirements: Position requires skills normally obtained through the completion of high school, GED, or equivalent.

Travel Requirements: This position requires a valid state-issued driver’s license, and employees must pass an initial drug and alcohol screening at hire. Frequent travel to assigned job sites within an assigned region.

Job Summary

XRI’s Midstream division collects and moves water through poly pipe, lay flat hose and underground pipeline systems from water sources to customer frac jobs. Sourcing operators are responsible for setting up, operating, and rigging down jobs safely.

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring flow rates, pressures, and tank levels to ensure efficient and continuous operations.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting issues such as leaks, pressure drop, pressure spikes, or equipment malfunctions.
  • Conducting routine line checks and inspections of hoses, fittings, and connections.
  • Cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining tools and equipment to ensure proper working conditions.
  • Reporting equipment defects, failures, or needed repairs to supervisors promptly.
  • Recognizing and mitigating potential hazards in work environment
  • Completing daily field reports, logs, and operational checklists accurately.
  • Using mobile apps or automation software for reporting and communication.
  • Laying and picking up lay flat hose, running transfer pumps, and essential equipment for water transfer operations.
  • Loading and unloading pipe, field materials, and equipment onto trailers and trucks for safe transport.
  • Observing machine operations, gauges, and adjusting controls to maintain specified conditions.
  • Setting up and rigging down pumps and generators at job sites.
  • Assist in containment and spill clean ups.
  • Communicating with other workers, using phone, text and emails.
  • Using common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, impacts, and wrenches.
  • Driving trucks and other vehicles to transport equipment, personnel to perform job task.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and understand detailed directions and job assignments.
  • Complies with all regulatory, environmental, and safety rules and standards, as well as company policies.
  • Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand, sit, bend, or climb for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more on a consistent basis
  • Able to operate equipment and vehicles
