Looking for fourth anesthesiologist to join Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville, NC, a family-oriented community. New Compensation package just announced!
Description
Founded in 1935, the not-for-profit Columbus Regional Healthcare System (CRHS) started as a 12-bed hospital in a Victorian home in Whiteville. Today, the modern 154-bed facility of CRHS is known for its skilled and dedicated medical providers, who represent a range of specialties.

General, peds, vascular, robotic, urologic, orthopedic, OB and gynecologic surgery
Shifts
Routinely three Anesthesiologists are present each day. Early out next day for the Physician who has been on call. Call averages every third night and every third weekend. Call from home, no nighttime labor epidurals and very low utilization.

Requirements
Responsibilities
Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
Pre-anesthesia assessment
Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
ECFMG and FLEX
Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
Currently licensed as a physician
