We are seeking a passionate and clinically skilled Physical Therapist to join a dedicated inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation team at an acute care hospital in Benton, Arkansas. Reporting to the Program Director, this is a full-time, permanent position offering a structured MondayโFriday schedule in a collaborative and professionally rewarding environment.
This role is ideal for a PT who thrives on delivering evidence-based care across a diverse patient caseload, mentoring support staff, and contributing to a team committed to measurable patient outcomes.
- Perform comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments to evaluate patient needs, functional status, and treatment goals
- Design and implement individualised, medically prescribed physical therapy programmes to reduce pain, restore function, and prevent re-injury
- Deliver evidence-based treatment plans using techniques appropriate to each patient's age, condition, and capabilities
- Administer therapeutic modalities including moist heat, ultrasound, ultraviolet and infrared light, and other physical agents
- Evaluate and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices; recommend modifications to optimise function and comfort
- Educate patients and families on injury prevention, ergonomics, home exercise programmes, and long-term wellness strategies
- Supervise and mentor physical therapist assistants, rehab aides, and students โ delegating tasks appropriately and maintaining quality standards
- Set measurable treatment goals; document progress accurately and adjust care plans as clinical status evolves
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy programme (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate)
- Active Physical Therapist licence in the State of Arkansas (or eligibility for endorsement)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification โ must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already held
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills; ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and respond decisively under pressure
- Proficiency in patient assessment, goal-setting, and outcome measurement across a varied caseload
- Solid knowledge of therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and evidence-based modalities
- Effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
- Competency in clinical documentation and EMR systems
- Strong supervisory and mentoring skills for support staff and students
- Commitment to professional development and continuing education in physical therapy
