Job description

Clera is hiring a remote candidate for Full-Stack Software Engineer. This is a full time position. Work location: USA. The role typically involves technologies such as TypeScript, React, CI/CD, Python, Go, AWS.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an AI-native consumer intelligence startup as a Full-Stack Software Engineer, working across every layer of the platform — from backend services that process enterprise data at scale to the frontend interfaces that make that intelligence accessible and actionable. This is a high-ownership role on a small, fast-moving team: you'll take features from idea to production and iterate directly with enterprise clients. This role is ideal for engineers who are energized by breadth, who want to understand the whole system, and who see product context as a superpower rather than a distraction.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Build and ship features end-to-end — backend services in Go/Python and frontend experiences in React/TypeScript
  • Design APIs, data models, and service architectures that support agentic AI capabilities
  • Create intuitive interfaces that translate complex enterprise data into clear, actionable workflows
  • Collaborate with ML engineers to bring AI-driven features to production
  • Own features through the full lifecycle: scoping, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and iteration
  • Work directly with enterprise customers and stakeholders to understand real-world needs and refine the product
  • Contribute to infrastructure, tooling, and developer experience as the engineering team scales
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Required 3+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience in early-stage startup environments, building and shipping products end-to-end
  • Proficiency in TypeScript/React (frontend) and at least one of Go or Python (backend), with demonstrated experience shipping code in both layers
  • Experience with AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure platforms
  • Experience building and deploying full-stack features with ownership across infrastructure, backend services, and frontend interfaces
  • Comfortable operating in high-ownership environments where scope is not tightly defined and engineers manage their own priorities
  • Strong product instincts — you think about the user, not just the code
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Nice to Have Experience with agentic AI systems, LLM integrations, or RAG architectures
  • Background in enterprise SaaS, consumer intelligence, retail technology, or data-intensive products
  • Experience with data pipelines or data engineering
  • Familiarity with data visualization, real-time systems, or streaming architectures
  • Contributions to developer tooling, CI/CD, or infrastructure automation
  • Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 USD annually, commensurate with experience
  • Early-stage equity participation
LOCATION

This is an on-site role based in New York, NY. Candidates should be located in or willing to relocate to the New York City area.Seniority level: Mid-level.

Skills required for this role include TypeScript, React, CI/CD, and related tools for day-to-day development.
