Belay Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our intel team. Section 7 DAT is a forward deployed development team providing critical mission support to CNO. As a member of the team you will work closely with analysts and operators providing software solutions for hard CNE problems. You'll have the opportunity to work on every part of the CNE pipeline from sitting next to operators assisting them with tools we build. Providing tools to analysts so the better understand their data to make decisions supporting national security. There are a lot of big data problems in Section 7 that require thoughtful and robust solutions to provide the maximum mission gain to our customers.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop data transforms for every kind of data. (Text, JSON, Databases, XML, configs, etc.
  • Gather feature requests, new application requirements and understand project and customer needs
  • Dive into unknown data and help analysts figure out what the right questions to ask are
  • Work on tools to improve the performance of applications and transforms allowing more data to be understood
  • Manage and support mission critical servers supporting CNO projects directly working as a developer of server framework and sysadmin on servers when needed
  • Skills Requirements: Strong experience with python
  • Knowledge of dataframes (pandas, polars)
  • Knowledge of SQL as a language and different database flavors (SQLite, Postgress, MySQL)
  • Understanding of git and gitlab for source control
  • Familiar with Type script/java script and react or another modern frontend framework
  • Be comfortable working directly with customers and having direct feedback

Candidates should have the following qualifications:
  • TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph
  • 8 yrs., B.S. in a technical discipline or 4 additional yrs. in place of B.S.

Candidates are required to have the following skills:
  • Strong experience with python
  • Knowledge of dataframes (pandas, polars)
  • Knowledge of SQL as a language and different database flavors (SQLite, Postgress, MySQL)
  • Understanding of git and gitlab for source control
