Job description

Austin Industries has an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Power BI Developer at our corporate headquarters in Dallas, Texas. This role will be responsible for working with the business to develop, implement and maintain the Business Intelligence platform.
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and develop system requirements that align with business needs
  • Create Power BI visualizations based on end user requirements
  • Define data sourcing and mapping
  • Develop custom solutions leveraging Power Apps
  • Develop data pipelines to support analytical applications
  • Create functional testing of change/project through deployment
  • Ensure data quality and data governance while dealing with data sources
  • Troubleshoot technical issues
  • Act as technical lead for Power BI user community
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory or SSIS
  • Strong understanding of construction industry and business processes found within
  • Demonstrated ability to stay organized and meet agreed upon deadlines
  • Effective communication with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills and documentation skills

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related
  • 5+ years of Power BI development experience
